How to select correct wick size
The wick sizes refer to the diameter of the candle you are making, assuming you want the candle to burn down flat all the way. If you want the candle to leave a shell as it burns down use a wick at least 2cm smaller. Wick size is something you have to experiment with - but our guidelines should prevent you from going too wrong. If too small the candle will drip - if too large it may smoke!
